Criminality check

hi there.

(1) I just want to ask how do cic check on criminality background? I called up cic yesterday and they said that i passed the security check and doing the criminality check.

(2) i had a small amount of debt in UK 5 years ago, does it consider a crime? Im just worried about this.

I don't think having debt is a crime. A crime is when you have been charged by the police for something.

They did criminality check on the basis of the PCC that you have submitted

In the UK PCC i sent, NO TRACE is written. I was just worried about that unpaid debt.

I dont think so it should be a problem as @russ6970 mentioned unless you have any police case against you registered for this unpaid debt...

The UK doesn't do that, unless there is fraud involved. A debt is a civil matter, not a criminal offence in the UK. (We got rid of "debtors prisons" years ago)

Anybody knows how CIC does criminality checks?

My country takes super long time in terms of answering if they make a request. Usually, such issues are solved when you make a direct appeal to an institution responsible, otherwise they just don't care. I wonder where I could ask.

How long Does criminality take, at the point I’m ready to say f**k it. I applied for pr for me and my family, I am a protected person from sept 2020 still waiting. Everything has been pass just waiting for criminality to come back and it haven’t even started. This is crazy, and I heard it takes a long time to come back. Can someone give me a timeframe on how long it took for their criminality to come back.
