Criminal record

My wife has been in Canada for more than 6 months

My Question is would CIC require criminal record from us in Canada?
What kind of criminal record?

I did a research and it says there are 2 types, Toronto and RCMP. (we live in Toronto)

and if anybody went through it, can anyone explain? (I heard RCMP requires fingerprint, BUT SHE ISNT in CANADA and the process of obtaining the record would take 6 month!!! WOW!!! )

RCMP check isn't required unless specifically asked (which very rarely happens). Per the guide, you need to supply PCCs for all countries - apart from Canada.
