CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK - APPLICANT ON TRV IN CANADA

My wife is March 2015 applicant. She has been in Canada with me on TRV since 01 March 2015 and will return to Indian at end-Feb 2016. NDVO is likely to ask for Criminal Record Check/RCMP clearance. Should she apply for it in advance to save processing time. NDVO is currently sending re-medial requests to Jan 2015 applicants. Kindly share your experience or knowledge.
