Hi All, First post on the forum so apologies if this has been answered many times before.

Myself and my partner are submitting a FSW application and I'm advised that we need criminal background checks. The check only lasts for one year so I've been told its advised to wait and submit this check later after submitting the rest of the application. So three questions:

1. Should I wait for the results and submit the application as a whole including the criminal background check?
2. If I should send off the application and wait to submit the CBC how do I send these additional supporting documents later?
3. When should I apply for the CBC if the check result only lasts for 1 year?

Thanks in advance! Danielle

Myself and my partner are submitting a FSW application and I'm advised that we need criminal background checks. The check only lasts for one year so I've been told its advised to wait and submit this check later after submitting the rest of the application. So three questions:

1. Should I wait for the results and submit the application as a whole including the criminal background check?<--it's completely up to you but if the police clearance check holds the entire preparation then send you package without it
2. If I should send off the application and wait to submit the CBC how do I send these additional supporting documents later?<--don't send the police clearance certificates before you are required to do so, the reason for that is that it is not the CIO who will most likely ask for PCC's but your responsible visa office... so just wait for their request
3. When should I apply for the CBC if the check result only lasts for 1 year?my advice is to do it upon request... many people are sending their PCC's along with their initial applications and then they have to make new certificates as they expire

Thanks in advance! Danielle
