Hi all,

I am planning to do a diploma course of 39 credits from a Canadian university. In case I plan to complete masters by transferring credits to another University. How does it work? I have few queries (mentioned below). Requesting your help on the same.

1. Would it roughly take 1 year to complete the remaining 21 credits? Please let me know.

2. In the new University to which I'm going to transfer the credits, if GMAT is a part of the requirement for someone who is newly joining to the same program. Will GMAT be required for me to study in that University considering I have 39 credits from another Canadian university? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Shiva

You should assume you will not be able to transfer credits from a diploma to a masters program. A diploma is a much much lower level of study.

Is it? I meant to say Post-Baccalaureate Diploma. Is it not possible?

Same answer. It's a lower level of education. Credit transfer generally aren't possible. You'll need to speak to the university where you plan to take your Masters to see if they will accept anything.

You would also need to get accepted to the other program which would require a GMAT if that is a prerequisite for them.
