Credential Evaluation

Hi Friends

Me and wife are planning to apply for PR when the occupation list is publsihed in May. She is a dentist and Im a software engineer.

Any idea who will do the credential evaluation for migration?

Or is it something we come to know only in May?

List of credential evaluating agencies will be out at the same time the occupation list will be out, sometime in April according to CIC. If your wife becomes the principal applicant (more chance of being in the occupation list), then her credential will most likely have to be evaluated by a professional agency of dentists in Canada, yet to be designated by CIC.

For IT it is World Education Service and for Dentists it is NDEB

Myself an IT professional and my wife a dentist got our degree credentials evaluated from these two associations/boards last year although it was not a prerequisite in applying for Immigration we did it after attending CIIP session where we became aware of this.

Particularly for Dentists where my wife's credentials were evaluated by NDEB after which she became eligible and sat for her first dental licensing exam this year

However, I would suggest you to wait and look out for a news release by CIC where they may list associations responsible for evaluation for Immigration purpose
