Hi guys,

I just received my CPR via mail, but my work permit is expired very soon.(i cannot make it to land before my work permit is expired)
so is it illegal to stay in Canada just with CPR??? Why CIC can't just mail our PR card while we are within Canada?

Also receiving CPR mean I already is a permanent residence, correct?

ANYONE??

No
You are not a permanent resident until you land.
That is canadian immigration law and not something you can change.

You can't work once your work permit expires unless you have gone to a border and re-entered the country.

I recommend going to the border ASAP

Did you take your CoPR to CBSA to finalize your landing process?

CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK THE TIME STAMP ON WHICH THE EMAIL WAS SENT? DID THEY SEND IT TODAY (WEEKEND) OR IT WAS SENT BEFORE AND YOU HAVE JUST SAW IT?

Confirmation of PR comes by mail not email
It is usually 10-15 days after decision made status on ecas

Albert, I received my MR on Saturday 7PM Toronto time.
You can't tell when they are working on your file or not.

Unfortunately, no way to accelerate any processes when it comes to immigration.

Why didnt you apply for BOWP in the first place to be on safer side? Worse scenario is spending the money after processing fee....instead of avoiding this kind of scenario you are right now!!

Nope. I actually still have a month before my expiry date. I am just expressing my concern here. ;D
