CPP Ottawa Passport submission in November delaying

This thread gives me some hope.

passport received by CPP - Ottawa: Nov 21st.

Still waiting for my tracking number to be activated. Hopefully this week. I am travelling on Dec 15th, so need it by the 13th at latest. :/
 
Help people, should I be worried?

CPP-O received passport: Nov. 20th
Called, person taking the call emailed CPP-O regarding my situation: Nov. 27
Envelope Activated: still waiting
....

I need my passport for Dec. 5th ($1000 non-refundable payments made), and Dec. 20th (international travel plan, everything booked)
Should I email them by myself again? Or should I just wait?
 
tracking number activated for me this evening. Just checked. So, it is taking about 10 business days, judging from the other replies in this thread. I should get my passport back either tomorrow or Wednesday. Yay!
 
I have been waiting for the last 7 weeks for my passport. That seems to be the average wait time based on all the comments I have seen in the forum. There are some lucky ones who receive it in 2 weeks, but don't get your hopes up.

Until now, no answer. Wondering how to check their processing times.
Is anyone know how long is the processing times for visa renewal?
 
This question is for the people who applied their TRV application here in Canada & received it successfully.
I know we can only apply here if we have valid study or work permit.
Did you guys applied along with your dependent family members. i.e. you applied your worker visa & for your family's visitor visa?
The reason why i am asking because there might be possibility that CIC is taking more time for these kind of applications.
