Yes, if you will be paying for a signature as proof that they have received it, you should send it to the courier address.

Sorry, is courier the only address you should use for expedited (overnight) shipping of applications? Or can you send it to the normal P.O. box 3000, Station A, for "Spouses, common-law or conjugal partner and dependent children"?

I just had to use the courier address since Purolator won't drop at PO box.

If you sent it in a format that needed a signature, you should send it to the drop off address I would assume.

I read someone FedEx'ed their application to the P.O. Box... and they got a signature. Very bizarre! But anything can happen..
I would still recommend using the courier address if you're going to request a signature
