CPA Canada for Open work permit holders

Hi All,
I’m an open work permit currently residing in Canada. And since I’m an Indian Chartered Accountant , I wish to pursue my Canadian CPA from here. Can I do that with the work permit status that I have ?

Unless your course or program is 6 months or less you will be required to have a Study Permit.

Same is the case with me. Could you pls tell me is it allow to do CPA while on work permit.
