Hey All,

Is there a clarity on 14 day self Isolation period? :

1. Now that there are only 14 possible port to make an entry/landing process which not home province for them, for e.g. you make a landing in Toronto and have to complete your landing process there, but need to head to New Brunswick. Does one self isolate in Toronto for 14 day period or they will allow to travel to New Brunswick and self isolate there?

2. Will the traveller be allowed to stay with their family in Canada or has to self isolate as an individual.

Cheers

Will the flight to NB be available is another concern. Flying people around the country is risking spreading the virus.

currently they have not put restrictions across all domestic sectors and flights at this moment are available, so lets say the flights are still ON - any idea on the queries?

1. it would be ideal for people to self-isolate in Toronto but currently You are still allowed to continue flying.

2. If the family stays with immediate family the whole family will on strict self-quarantine for 14 days. No going for groceries or work if they are essential services. If they can be completely quarantined in a basement suite with no contact and just leaving food for them at a door, no shared ventilation that would be an option.

That sounds good! my only concern is point 1.

As a society anyhow its our responsibility to follow the public health advisories as written in stone!

The situation is so fluid. The airlines or public health may be reluctant to spread potential infections all over the country especially as cases rise. People flying risk exposing so many people along their journey. They may be able to drive from a Toronto but that is a ling drive. Very hard to plan ahead in these situations.

I completely agree.. its just that when you are looking for family reunification and getting a chance to bring in your parents, emotions run a little high!

I apologize for the late response!

But yes flights are now limited.

If you absolutely have to travel now,

There are some flights coming to Moncton whereas Saint John airport is closed.

Yes, you can stay with your family! Just do not go out! Not recommended risking anyone's lives though.
