Hello i have a few questions regarding sponsorship through common law.
1.Is it possible for us both to be in different countries and apply outland and then move back to our home countries a few months later. We are in Australia right now on working holiday and it will expire near the end of may.
Im canadian and she is korean.
Originally we planned to move to canada and wait for the answer but im not sure how it will play out. Due to covid 19 and a travel ban being implemented, no longer allowing people other than canadian citizens and US citizens aswell as Permanent Resident's to enter Canada, we are now wondering if its posssible to apply here then return to our countries and wait for an asnwer.
2.Also if it does work, can she come to canada( if the covid19 situation changes to allow foreigners to enter) and wait for the final decision on a vistor visa.
3. Can she apply for an open work permit when we apply for pr( send together at sametime) or does she have to apply for one after?

4. Can we apply for PR when she is in korea and im in Canada ( Common law Sponsorship)
We have been living together for 1.5 years

Please let us know we just want to be together and not worry about Visa's anymore.

Thanks,

1. Yes, you can live apart once you establish common-law status..

2. If the restrictions are lifted, she can enter as a visitor.

3. No. Only inland applicants qualify for an OWP.
