Hi all,

I am planning to go to canada for studies although my future plans are to get a PR using the study route, hence i am planning to get a 2 yr course or a two seperate one yr courses consecutive

i have done msc in computer networking from London metropolitan university (UK) and had applied to George Brown for Jan 13 intake for PGD in wireless nertworking but i got a rejected and the officer stated the reason as

so i am intending to apply for a project management course from humber college or any other colleges offering this course...this cvourse was referred by my agent. i would like to know what are the chances of me being rejected for this course..

for the visa applicsation i had provided GIC funds.
i would be really obliged if anyone can suggest me what course wld be appropriate and also wanted to know what are the chances of rejection once i apply for project management course and come to canada (if granted visa) and then after a year on completion apply for wireless networking (1 yr) course wld i be granted visa? cozi have heard once u land in canada and apply for other course they usually dont reject or in other terms they dont check or inspect ur visa application so thoroughly....

Why did George Brown refuse you?

the visa officer refused my application & gave a reson:

"Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following: your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans."

Thanks in advance...

Well I do not think there is anything wrong with PDG course you opted before. Since you did masters so it create a little doubt when you apply for PGD so I will advise you to go for some master degree program and you will get visa hopefully. Do not try any colleges.

Seniors please advise if I am right...Thanks

hi,

Thanks for your replies....

can any of you please suggest any masters course ?? considering that my future plans are for obtaining PR....

what would be a better option:
1. MBA
2. Msc in internetworking.

ALSO IF ANY1 COULD GUIDE ME HOW TO GET A PR using the study route (after doing masters)

HI,

Finally today i got my CAIPS stating the reason and comments by the officer on the basis of which he rejected my application, here it is:

text:

has completed masters of science at London Metropolitan University in UK.
IELTS 7.0, i would have expected much higher results after 1.5 years of study in UK, Came back to india on OCT 16 2012. Unclear why PA wants to do a collegial course after a masters from UK, i am therefore not satisfied that the applicant is not applying for unknown reasons other than sutdies and such would be a genuine student.weighing the information in hand over the specific case, the applicant has failed to establish that they are a bonefide temporary resident who will leave Canada following the completion of their studies pursuant to section R (1) (B) OF irpa REFUSED.

i got this rejection for applying for PGDIP in wireless networking from GB college, however i had clearly stated in my SOP that i want to do this course as my masters was based on wired technology and didnt cover wireless technology.

NEED SOME GUIDANCE OVER THIS AS i have already taken admission into centennial for project management PGdip, what should i do cancel this admission and take MBA course or i can apply with project management course as its a specialization course into management.

please please put in your comments & feedback......

would be grateful........thanks a ton in advance.....

I don't think project management course will help you to get the visa. As VO clearly states the reason for doing the PGD. It better if you apply for some masters.

I am also applied for project management course in centennial. In my my case, my last graduation is BE CSE and have experience as 4.11 years as software engineer and my step will be team lead and higher. Waiting for visa status and hope for the best.
