Country requirement form - military service

Hi,
I am filling sponsorship family class and got a bit confused.
I am from Georgia and my country requires document about military service, which I never had. Should I still fill N/A and print it, or should I leave out and not provide?

If it's country specific requirement for Georgia then you'd need to either provide the doc they're asking for , or a proof that you were not required to do military service in your country. Never leave out something that's required.

You must fill out the form. If Georgia marks military service in the internal passport, a copy of the relevant pages with translation would likely be the documentation needed to show this. If you are required to provide this anyway (as for some other countries) then probably that is all that's required.

The thing is that Georgian military service is mandatory just for males, so what kind of proof can I show them, like letter from the government that I was never asked to do military service? Even if I provide this (unfortunately I doubt they will give me this explanation) what about this form?

Let's not complicate things - what do the instructions say, specifically? Read them carefully. If they ask you to fill out the form and do not require additional proof, that's fine. If they require some additional documentation, do that. If they ask you to explain why you did not do military service - write an explanation.

It is quite possible they do not require anything additional - or that it is already covered by other documents required, such as copy of pages of the internal passport.

But if in doubt - follow the instructions.

An issue with respect to what? It could be an issue in your home country. Canada doesn't care that you didn't do your military service.

Because I heard IRCC might request military exemption. The only exemption I have is when I moved to Canada I’m 2016 as a student - It mentioned that I am exempted temporarily from military because I was a student. Can this be used?

IRCC might request it in which context? Are you applying for something? Be specific.

I did not say Canada doesn't care if you served or not. THey don't care that you didn't do your service.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I submitted my CEC application last week. I have heard of cases where IRCC requests ADR military service from applicants where the military is mandatory in their country. In my case, I moved to Canada on a study permit since I was 18 years old. At that time, I had a temporary exemption from the military as I was a student.

"I have heard of cases where IRCC requests" is not the same thing as they have asked for it in your case.

It's pretty simple. Any applicant must be truthful about military service. If they suspect you served, they may ask you to show that you didn't serve. Most places will have some sort of stamp or document for exemption.

For those who left the country before service, usually the explanation that you didn't serve because you were not in the country would be sufficient. That would be shown by ... not having been in the country i.e. passport stamps and proof of residency elswhere.

Presumably you explained this in your application. If not, wait and explain it later.

No, but I want to be prepared if they did just to avoid any delays.

As far as I'm aware, they don't usually ask if the person has been out of the country in question for the relevant time period (i.e. since turning 18), and other required things have been submitted. It can vary somewhat by country because procedures and documentation also differ.

I think your full-time study in a university or college in Canada will be obvious. While I'm not saying IRCC knows everything, they are reasonably aware - and student exemptions are one of the most common worldwide.

I would wait and see IF you get a supplementary request, and WHAT the request says.
