Hello Advisors,

I am working with a sole-proprietor company in Ontario as an administrative coordinator in NOC Skill type 1221 since july 2018. My concern is if I am outside Canada and working online for my employer, and getting my pay for work done online, will that hours be counted for my work experience for Permanent Residency in Canada?

Hope for your support and help

If you are not working in Canada, the experience is not Canadian work experience. So, the answer is no. You have to be physically present in Canada for the work experience to "count" as Canadian work experience.

I would be working only a month from online. All other months, i would be working in company’s primary office in Canada.

Then you would have to exclude those weeks when counting your experience. You need a minimum of 52 weeks....
My onlyy other question I have is, are you actually an employee of that company? Or are you a self-employed contractor?

Thank you for your reply. I am a full-time employee of that company. Not an individual contractor or not under any contractual agreement.
