Hello, Good Morning!
I am planning to apply for PR in Canada in the next couple of months. But I am a bit confused how to proceed with my application. I have issues with counting of my work hours and application process route towards PR. A general background about me I currently working for Bell telecommunications as a telecommunications/ field technician regular part time NOC code 7246 and Skill Code B. I have also completed a college diploma 2 years and 4 years undergraduate degree in engineering here in Ontario,Canada.
I have counted my working hours through my employment and was full time mostly until the recent outbreak of the virus! I have done the Ielts test exam in February! Which gave me a CRS score of 463.
Can I apply through the express entry file and what about OINP Ontario pnp since I heard people telling me I qualify under the skilled trade category. Here is a excel spreadsheet of my hours. But I dunno if I am doing it correct!

We won't be able to see your spreadsheet. Here's how you calculate your experience.

1) Each week you worked 30 hours or more is counted as 1 single week of work experience. You cannot carry over extra hours to get more weeks of work experience.
2) For each week you worked part time (fewer than 30 hours), add all of the weeks together and then divide by 30.

Add together #1 and #2. If you have at least 52 weeks, then you can claim 1 year of work experience.

Note that you need to have 470+ right now to be selected through EE.

Also suggest you review this. You previously posted about counting work experience and detailed answers were provided.

Since you have part time weeks, you will have to work beyond June 2020 to be able to claim a year of Canadian work experience.

If your NOC falls under trades, then yes, you can apply under a trades stream.

You are doing this wrong. I don't get why are you counting some weeks for 15 hours in cases when you've worked more hours such as 15, 25.5, 25.25, etc.

You can count all the hours you worked each week up to 30 hours, anything beyond 30 hours will just count as 30.

But I don't get why you're counting anything between 15 and less than 30 as 15,that is wrong and you're just underestimating your hours worked.

Oh ok! Yeah I will change that!!!
yeah I just realize that after figuring out how to calculate the hours I don’t cover 30 hours or less.
thanks

Hey guys,

Since we're here calculating hours and work experience, I have a simple question. I've read on other threads that IRCC calculates your work experience 1 month in advance or something along those lines? Let me give you my scenario here:

CRS score: 501
First date of employment: Feb 19, 2019
Date of EE Profile set up: March 2, 2020
ITA received: March 4, 2020
ePR submitted: March 23, 2020

Did I do my 1 year CEC work experience right? Just need a little bit of assurance since I read a few confusing arguments on other posts.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm not sure why that's important, considering my question was completely different. But here you are:
Age: 27 years
IELTS: Reading-9, Listening-9, Speaking-9, and Writing-8. Overall score-9.
Damm those IELTS scores are really good! Btw I am re writing IELTS IN JUNE! In order to boost my overall score further
can you recommend me study materials or any information on how to ace or get a higher band

I didn't really use any study material per se. My resources were only YouTube videos. Here are the channels I followed:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCglDIsg_Z9mE2oT9hsrbzFA

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXg7gy4XmPZEGr4kumPNGyQ

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ3A7Dnyz1_Fxaa5BCzAPMA

I followed these and practised every day for a month. Good luck!
