Could my student visa be expired?

hey there,
Back in 2015 I was admitted to a Canadian university and so got a 4 year student visa. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend uni and so haven’t entered Canada ever since the visa was issued. I would like to visit Canada this month but not sure if my visa is still valid or not. The visa printed on the passport says its valid until 2019. Could the visa have been terminated by any chance or would I still be eligible for entry?

As you did not attend classes, the university has already reported this to IRCC and your study permit has been cancelled.

You can email your local visa office if you want to reconfirm this

I have tried contacting the local visa office but they never seem to respond to the emails. Is there anywhere else where I can check the status of my visa? Perhaps a number I can call?

There's no number that you can call to get the status. You'll need to email your local visa office
