Can some one please confirm me the difference in PR Card vs Landed Immigrant paper...

I have to apply for Malaysia visa, and at that time I will not have PR card, so their requirement is "Copy of Landed Immigrant paper or PR Card" so want to know the difference.

Thanks

Landing papers are those forms which one gets with immigration visa by the visa office. It is filled up at the time of arrival at Canada, one copy is given to the applicant and other is retained by the immigration officer.

PR Card is issued by CIC based on landing of applicant. It takes about 30-60 days.

Landing papers can be used only once and PR card on each time of entry to Canada.

At may places landing papers are acceptable like in banks, public library, service canada, schools, colleges, jobs.
