What is copr?

Confirmation of permanent residence. In the old days these were called landing papers. Comes after the passport request (returned with passport usually).

All get them, it's a sheet of paper (two copies?) presented to border officers on arrival; those from visa-required countries will get a one-time visa as well.

So once ppr and you get passport back, you wait for an emailed copy of COPR? This she takes to Canada with us?

I dont even have pre arrival, just saw this copr on the site and didnt know what it was.

If from a visa-required country, would get the passport with visa inserted and the COPR with it. Yes, must be taken to Canada. Once stamped at border, applicant is now a PR (and in some circumstances in Canada will be accepted as proof of PR status, at least until PR card received).

So she needs a visa. To understand this clearly will they email this copr letter along will ppr?

You send the passport when you get the passport request. You get the passport back with visa and hard copy of COPR (two copies I think).

Some may get copr by email if no visa needed, don't know.

Wow nice, sure you must be an inland applicant or my guess is wrong. Just wondering how you got and ecopr if you an outland applicant. Please what is your VO.

I got an email saying "This email is to notify you that a new permanent residence confirmation case has been created under your IRCC Permanent Residence Portal account. " Does that mean my PR has been approved?

Hello guys, my spouse just got his COPR. Does he need a transit visa to travel through USA or Europe with a COPR? He's travelling from Ghana and holds a Ghanaian passport.

That's really a question for the airlines in combination with what countries you travel through and their transit procedures.

As far as I'm aware all of the major EU (and most of Europe) airports let travellers stay in the international zone and so you won't need visas (as long as the transfer is less than a certain number of hours, like 24 hours or departing same day). Now that means you can't leave the airport (or international zone within) but to transit through it's pretty easy.

The reputable airlines like Air France KLM Lufthansa group etc all know how this works. I don't know about UK but probably similar as well. No idea about USA.

Anyone here knows what's the maximum wait timeline for getting CoPR nowadays??

My Timeline is as below:
1 dependent (Spouse)
Category: EEBC-International Graduate (BC PNP)
AOR: May 04, 2021
Medical Passed: Sep 8, 2021
Biometrics: Sep 13, 2021
Approached Member of Parliament (MP) office on Feb 2 and got update on Feb 4 as below:
Criminality: PASSED
Medical – PASSED
Info Sharing- PASSED
Security – not started yet
Eligibility – not started yet
VO: Moved from Etobicoke to Montreal, QC office (in Feb)
Additional Doc Request: Mar 07, 2022 (replied same day)
Confirmation of ADR received from IRCC: Mar 14, 2022
Confirmation E-mail and then Portal Request: 16-MAR-2022

If anyone can provide information: whom should I follow up with regarding my CoPR (email id/contact if available). The portal confirmation letter was from Vancouver 5133 (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) and the status on portal shows In review with IRCC. Waiting for more than a week for CoPR-Is this normal?

Appreciate any guidance or help in this matter.
