LANDED..........
Tickets booked for September, 2014
When we landed in September, it was a mad house in YVR - very busy. During our landing process, which took no more than 5 minutes (after waiting for 7 hours in queue) we realized the next day that they took both copies of the COPR, and we never got a record of landing! Not a damn thing.

What do we need to do, and are these pieces of paper necessary? We are hoping to get our PR card soon, but would be nice if we had our other documents too if they are needed. I am sure we will need them down the road, but not sure.

Yes, you will need the COPR to apply for Canadian citizenship. You could try getting in touch with YVR CBSA to see if they can track down the one that they took or you can apply for a replacement copy here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp
