Dear All,

I received my COPR on 26 Feb 2020 and also eligible under the travel restrictions (since COPR is issued before 18-Mar-2020) to travel to Canada as informed by CIC. My Visa validity is till 26-Sep-2020.

Please let me know if i can travel the tickets under Vande Bharat Mission as there is not clarity on Air India website and / or SOP issued by MHA regarding outbound flights. Only Following persons shall be allowed to travel to the destination countries
1) who are citizens of that country;
2) who hold visa of at least one year duration of that country;
3) Green Card or OCI card holder.

Will the COPR be considered as the Permanent Residency and can we travel on the vande Bhart Mission flights ?

Yes you will be allowed to enter. Be ready with a 14 days quarantine plan (even if you dont have any symptoms). Check this link here.

Dear All,

I received my COPR on 26 Aug 2019 and also eligible under the travel restrictions (since COPR is issued before 18-Mar-2020) to travel to Canada as informed by CIC. My Visa validity is till 15 July 2020. I am unable to decide that should I go to Canada now OR should I send a request to IRCC through webform stating that we are unable to travel due to COVID-19 pandemic so kindly to extend our visas. I am afraid that will it be a wise decision to move to Canada with family during this pandemic of COVID-19? when almost all business/ job activities are adversely disturbed even in Canada. Group members plz guide.

Hi PK,

That is what exactly my concerns is. Although my visa validity is till Sep 2020 still not sure if we should travel before that.

I would suggest that if possible you can do the soft landing and apply and take your PR card and come back to your home country. THis way you would atleast have the PR card in hand and later on decide to move on when situation gets normal.
