Hello,

I touched down in Canada today and had the "inteview" with the immigration officer. I handed over the CoPR, which she kept and have a spare one for myself. I also have a spare photo, which was not attached to either copy of the CoPR. When I asked what I do with the photo, the officer didn't know but guessed that I need to send it off to get my pr card. She said it needs to match the CoPR they will send to the people who make the card. Is this right? I thought the card would just be sent in the post. Does anybody know what the spare photo is for?

Thanks

Did the officer apply for your PR card? Was there another photo that had affixed to the COPR they kept?

You shouldn't need to apply for PR card, the officer is the one that does this. So not sure why she told you this. Hopefully she applied for your 1st PR card ok, and if so yes you would simply get it in the mail a few months later.
