How long after mailing in the application for my PR would I get the COPR if approved?

it depends on whether you are an inland or outland applicant and if you are an outland applicant, which visa office the application is at.

What is the nationality / passport of the principal applicant?

if you are inland then it doesn't matter where you are from since all inland applications are processed inside canada. It can take anywhere from 12-24+ months for inland applicants to be approved. the new application is suppose to cut that down to 12 months, so only time will tell if that actually happens.

Holy crap 2 years! WOW!!!!

currently yes, it has been taking people 2+ years to get approved inland. this is why it's usually recommended for people to apply outland, even if they are living in canada. IRCC has started a backlog effort, so we are now seeing end of 2015 and early-mid? 2016 applications being approved. with the new process, it is likely people will get approved in less time. we will see what happens.

I suggest hanging out on the 2016 inland thread to see the application tracking spreadsheet.

Yes, if you applied outland, then I am ASSUMING it would go to either London (UK) or Ottawa? In which case, see the spreadsheet in my signature line for end to end times of real cases.

Generally speaking for London, say between 6 - 10 months (mine took 6) and for Ottawa maybe 4 months start to finish. You have no say between London or Ottawa, Mississauga decide which one, based on what, no one knows!

As CND said, they are trying to bring inland and outland into line, but as this only started in December 2016, hard to say when this will be and how successful it might be!
