I have just gotten my Copr and I have expired work permit . I want to go to the border to do my landing . Do I need a US visa? Flagpole authorizations?? Do I need to restore my status?! Do I need to renew my work permit before I go?! The documents they sent me is a little confusing. Thanks

You cannot apply for any type of permit or visa as said action would be in conflict with your intent. Do NOT attempt to go to the US border if you do not have a valid visa and a reason other than flag poling,

You don't need a US visa or "authorization" to flagpole.

However, if you didn't apply to renew your permit before it expired, nor did you leave Canada before it expired, you are out of status and essentially staying in Canada illegally. You could be in trouble if border officer catches that.

Depending on when your permit expired, you might want to apply to restore your status, leave the country immediately, or consult with an immigration lawyer as to what's the best course of action.

Thanks for the response. I do have 60 days for status restoration as I was told by CIC.
