After almost 2 years, I received my CoPR papers. We applied March of 2019 and the portal said we were on track for March of 2020. Then, COVID shut the world down. Early summer of 2021, a rep called and asked some questions and told us we were good to go. We received the request for photos and sent those and finally the CoPR arrived. Inside was a note saying travel restrictions were in effect and I can't travel (we're in the US) and someone will notify us.
The IRCC site seems to indicate we can but the decision is at the border.
I messaged IRCC and they said even though the CoPR was sent in July it is valid until March 2022 and will not be extended under any circumstances.
Questions:
Should the travel window be that short? Not wanting to travel north in winter...
Has anyone landed for their PR from the US, in the last few months?
After we land, how long do we have have to stay?
What's the landing interview like?
