Hello All,

Ihave received the COPRs today of myself and spouse.
The validity date of my COPR is strange as a primary applicant!
I did my remed and it is valid until 18 Mar 2020. While my spouse med is valid until 12 Dec 2019.
I was expecting that they will extend her COPR expiry date and put it with mine but instead they reduced mine and gave us both until 12 Dec 2019.

I have never heard of such case especially that both of our passports are far from being expired until late 2021.

Any idea? Can I contact them again asking for an extension?

There is nothing strange. COPR date is subject to earliest expiry date of any applicant not necessarily the primary applicant.

There would be no cause for an extension.

In fact, you as the Principal Applicant, must land before, or at the same time as any dependants.
Therefore, it makes no sense to have your COPR expiry longer than hers.

She has to land by 12 Dec 2019, due to medical expiry, so there would be no need for your COPR to expire at a later date.

As others have said, this is normal and there is nothing to correct. Extensions to COPRs aren’t granted. You need to land before the expiry date.
