COPR Expiry date?

I'm not sure what this is.... My spouse landed to claim residency before the valid to date, under Application details. Now under Personal details it says Expiry date? What is this for? Does my spouse have to land again before his COPR expires? If so can he extend it? We don't have the PR card yet.

Once the landing procedure has been completed, there is no further action required. If landing has not been completed, this is the expiry date of the COPR document, beyond which it is not possible to use it for completing the landing. It normally cannot be extended unless IRCC made an error in processing.

Thanks, I just realized that it's the Passport expiry date.
