We were so happy when my husband received his COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Resdience) in January this year, but we found out that it was only valid for a few weeks. The COPR is filled with lots of data that is user friendly for CIC workers, but can be a bit confusing for laypersons. So now I get it, thanks to immigration forums like this, it is all tied into the medical exam, which has expired. Great news is that we can extend the COPR. Hubby is happy to do the exam again, but lo and behold! we are being asked "to show proof of payment for replacing a COPR visa". Thank you CIC for providing a link for various fees on the website, but alas, there is nary a fee for replacing a COPR visa. I want to be a good Canadian and follow the CIC rules, but I am not psychic, unfortunately. Is there anyone who can enlighten me as to how much this fee is and whether I can pay for it online on the CIC website?

Logically I would think you are paying for the "verification of status or replacement of an immigration documentation".

Online fee payment link:

I have heard back from CIC and for those who may find themselves in a similar situation here is the payment info

oops, links are not allwed!
ok, check the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines web page and look under visa and then fee payment

We have done the new medical exam, although a bit costly, and hopefully are back on track for Canada!
