Hello!
I'm sponsoring my mother and both of us live inside Canada. She lives as a visitor here.
Around end of April we got her CoPR + immigration visa. But CoPR is unsigned. And because of COVID we couldn't sign it anywhere to finish landing procedure.
We got confused that her status will update, but no. So her status got expired a month+ ago.
What would you recommend us to do?
One option is to restore her status. It is a bit more to pay but what can we do. If I chose this way, will my mother be in implied status right when we apply for it?
Can we schedule a meeting with the immigration officer if we are still waiting for her visitor status to be restored?
Do we even need to worry about restoring her status to finish landing? IRCC agents tell me that it is necessary to have a valid status for landing through local in-Canada interview with officer.
Second - is I'm thinking of flagpoling. Yesterday IRCC twitter said :

Will this make flagpole possible? Can we flagpole if her status if expired less than 90 days?Foreign nationals who are immediate family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents are exempt from travel restrictions if they are entering to be with their immediate family member for a period of 15 days or more.
Thanks,
Oleg
