COPR and medical expiry

Hey everyone I just received our passport request from London and we have to send them by April 29 2014. I am a little confused though....it says that when we receive the COPR it expires one year after the date of our medicals. We did our medicals on the 20th April 2013.

Does this mean they have extended ours ? Our deadline for sending passport pages and photos in 9days after our medicals are one year old. Can anyone shed some light on this or give me the name of someone on here who might ? I am just a little puzzled as they haven't said anything about the medicals being extended :s sooo happy and confused all at the same time !

Congratulations and enjoy thr moment.
I was kinda in the same situation.the expiry of my medical was march 21 and I received the passport request on march 6th.thay have already extended the validity of my medical without notifying me.they issued the cpr with 6 month validity.BTW I included a letter explaining this matter with our passports in the package sending to Ottawa.

Thank you so much. I was thinking that they must have realized this when sending this pp request. I will send a letter like you say with the documents they requested and hopefully it will be ok. Me and my partner are already in canada and we were actually at the American border the other day renewing my boyfriends work permit. (Sods law isn't sit renewing the permit then getting pr pretty much straight away!), they said we don't need to cross the border to be become "landed" . He said we can go to the canada building in the city to do it which is a bonus.

The other thing is our office is London so everything is done by mail. I just hope they have extended them and just haven't said anything. The letter they said was pretty generic and not specific to us really. I assume they are smart enough to have realized my medicals are almost up lol

I was worried too. But apparently it worked out in the perfect way.so think positive.
I landed at the border.since I live in Toronto and getting a local office oppointment takes almost 2 months.but my friend did her landing in an office (small city) just in a few days.

ECAS changed to decision made today !!

They received the passport copies etc. on Monday 31st. I put a little letter in to remind them the medicals are close to expiry. I hope they have still extended them! I doubt they are going to send my COPR in express mail like I did for them lol
