Help! My (stupid) partner has a conviction (2003), and two cautions (2008,2011).

How would this effect me sponsoring him for a common-law visa to Canada (from the UK).

I have been reading about how many years it takes for rehabilitation ... and one of the convictions will be a few months away of being cleared when we apply, and the other one will still have year.

Has anyone have experience about how this effects a visa acceptance?

Depending on the seriousness of the conviction and how it translates to Canadian law, the person is eligible for rehabilitation 10 years AFTER the completion of the sentence, not 10 years after the conviction.
