Conversion of Visa Status

I arrived on a TRV through a letter of invitation to Canada - invited by my girlfriend as my friend (not spouse or common law partner) who is on PR status & she intends to again sponsor me for PR as spouse after we get the marriage certificate:

1. What would be the ideal documents, evidence or story to give the visa officers in such a situation?
2. What is the likelihood such applications are accepted or rejected if you meet the standard requirements?
3. Any other noteworthy pointers?

I appreciate the response - is this a normal form of accepted application? That is - having the same person invite you then sponsor you, I should add that I have been here on a relatively short period.
