My epilepsy requires daily medication to control. I have no problems with the epilepsy and work/live a normal life though I do see a neurologist every six months. Might this cause me to fail to med exam?

You'll need to tell us who is sponsoring you. If it's spousal sponsorship - you can't be refused for medical reasons. Different if you're being sponsored by a child.

they are only exempt for the "excessive demand" section. Not from Danger to Public Health or Danger to Public Safety.

Don't worry about it - you will not be excluded because of epilepsy. A spouse is exempt from the excessive demand qualification, and epilepsy is not a danger to public health or safety.
OP's situation is not applicable to you. He is being sponsored as a spouse and is therefore Excessive Demand Exempt, so epilepsy is not an issue.palawander said:

Regardless, it must be declared. Not doing so is misrepresentation, which can result in your app being refused and you being banned fom Canada.
