How long was that holiday?? Months???
We all take holidays and we all travel when we are employed. If you are talking about going somewhere for 2 -3 weeks, it doesn't matter. Holidays are part of 12 month working year.
Your letter of reference and/or work contract should clearly indicate that you worked full time (48 hours per week) from e.g. 01.05.2006 till 01.05.2007 holding a position of XXXXX at the Company YYYY with an annual salary of $$$$$ with no bonuses paid.
Reference letters don't mention holidays, unless it was a really extended one (months).
TbilisiAnkara very well explain it,holidayz comprises on 2-4 week count in 1 year work exprience, its a part of any job

I had a one year contract. I was paid fully for all the 12 months I was there. During the last month(Dec), there were year end holidays during which I left for the US. So here is my query, will they still consider my exp as one year( as stated in my experience letter) or otherwise?
As I already mentioned, during the year I was actually working 48 hrs/week and it is there on the contract letter.

Even if anybody have a gap in experience following statement very much clearly states that a person can be eligible :

"Periods of work of less than 12 months during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of the application may be added together and divided by 12 to calculate the number of years. "

Since I worked 48 hours/week it comes to another extra 500 hrs(based on 37.5 hours requirement) . So does that compensate for the holiday week where its not 37.5 hrs?
yep, it means you have worked for at least 1 year. So if you multiply 48 x the number of weeks you worked/37.5, if that is greater than 52, then you are safe.

For example, I have worked continuous part-time (30 hours/week) for 1 year and 8 months. am i eligible to apply?
Thank you.
