USA
I am a F1 student with a pending asylum in the US and graduating next May. I am considering moving to study in Canada next year. I am worried that since I have already have a pending asylum case in US my application for study permit will be rejected.
Is there anyone who has been in this predicament before?
Is it worthy trying and see what will happen?

As an asylum applicant in the US, a study permit application would be refused.

Agreed with the above. No point even trying. Refusal is guaranteed.

Thank you very much. Will it change anything if I withdrew my asylum case....

Then it's possible you might be successful. However you would have to wait and apply next year after completing your education in the US - otherwise you won't look like a genuine student.

Doubtful, since they will see that you tried to claim asylum even if you withdrew it. So there would be a very strong suspicion from IRCC that you are just using the study permit to get to Canada and claim asylum here instead.
