Hi

A few relatively minor changes have happened in our lives since submitting our application. I left my son with his father on my trip to Zambia this January and I was supposed to bring him back on my trip in May but we decided that he was well-adjusted and it was more cost-effective for him to stay with his father and his father’s siblings rather than enrolling in daycare here. My husband also recently left his job. Prior to sending my son to Zambia I occasionally supported my partner ($200-300 here and there). When my son left that amount increased to about $1000/month after renting a three bedroom home and other expenses and with his recent unemployment that increased slightly to $1100-1300/month.

Does CIC need to know that my son is now living with his father and that I am supporting them financially? My case notes said that our son was living with me but I don't want to contact them unless necessary.

Just to be in the safe side send them an e-mail informing about the changes...
its better to cover your back, you never know what can be ahead and is better
to play straight before it comes against you in the future.

Good luck,

Thanks -of course I also worry that I'll annoy them but I could see how it could haunt us, say if we had an interview and these two facts weren't consistent what our application states.
