I didn't know where else I could post this since it's about immigration but not in the typical purpose of this forum. Feel free to help or to suggest somewhere else to post this.

I've been abroad for 2 months and plan to stay abroad for at least a year. I've been warned that after a 6 months I will lose my Quebec health benefits since I can only travel 6 months (183 days) abroad per year. I don't need those benefits and barely use any but it lead me to wonder:

Is there any other consequences of staying abroad for more than 6 months / a year?

For those curious about that "law" you can read more here: https://www.ramq.gouv.qc.ca/en/citizens/absence-quebec

Thank you

I think you are allowed to leave more than 183 days once every 7 years. I am not sure if it has any other consequences though.
