I just sent a request for electronic notes for my husband's PR application as it seems to be taking forever and people who applied way after us have decision made while we (Jan applicants) had no updates since NDVO got it in March.
I sent my husband the link via email and he filled it out, signed, scanned and sent it back same day. He fille dout section A with his info (as the one releasing permission to me to request his file) and section C is my info as the one who he is giving permission to be representative. Section B asks about spouse information - its worded that if you also request info on your spouse. Now does that mean if I as the representative am asking for info on him, my spouse? Or is it my info that goes there if he wanted info on me as his spouse? He filled it with my info, and he signed seciton B. I have no idea if this is correct or not. It also says get 'them' to sign so I think whoever's name is in section B also signs section B right? Anyway I signed beside his name in section B (using my ipad pro and apple pencil as I don't have a printer and a signature electronic or otherwise is still valid) anyway. So His info is Section A with his signature, Mine is in Section B with both our signatures, and mine is in C with again my signature.
Who's info is supposed to be in Section B? I am the Canadian citizen, the wife, and he is in India. He is obviously the one who has to agree to release his private info, so shouldn't section B, be HIS info? But it makes no sense because the whole form is worded from point of view of the one releasing the info, not the one requesting it! So it sounded to him like my info should go there. We are so confused. I think in reality we only needed to fill section A and C as its the PR file notes we want and not private info on the person itself? Oh well hopefully CIC will accept it. I submitted it today already and paid the 5.00.
Why do they have to make things so confusing??
