Hi,im jie anne.i just wanna know if we could pass the eligibility for conjugal sponsorship.im in a samesex relationship with my girlfriend in philippines for about 4 years now, since march 2014,i am a permanent residence now here in canada since 2016.i visited her in philippines march 2014,feb.2015 and dec.2017.we also have a joint bank account since 2015.and she is now residing in my home there since dec.2017 with my siblings.

And all the evidence i have now are:
-Joint bank accounts
-Photos
-Facebook conversation
-post screenshot on facebook
-Online remittance statement
-Reciept of the flowers i sent to her
-Plane tickets, boarding pass and passport stamps
-3 Letters from her friend, from my brother, and my cousin
-and a letter from lawyer attesting that we are unable to marry in phillipines
-bank statements

Question:
can i add the recently photos that taken december to january 2018?we dont have much photo from 2014 and 2015 with my family, but this year we have a bunch of photos was taken during my vacation,as stated in the list it should be existed atleast 12 months?

Any evidence that i can include with our application?we dont have any assets or joint ownership.

I'm curious.. You appear to be from the same country. Is this correct? If so, what is the barrier to becoming common-law, assuming that you don't broadcast the fact to the general public?

However, in theory, you could return to the Philippines and establish common-law status without any immigration barrier, if you choose to?

Yes,i can do that but everything will be sacrifice.my job,and financially.
Hmm.. I suspect that you might be right on the edge of eligibility for a conjugal partner application, if not actually ineligible.

Let's see what others think, especially those with specialist knowledge of the Philippines...

Has she tried applying for a TRV to come to Canada so that you can either get married or become common law. If not - that's the first thing she needs to do. Don't apply for sponsorship until she tries to obtain a TRV.

Agreed you have a big of a difficult case since there's nothing stopping you from moving to the Philippines to become common law.

TRV is a tourist visa. She needs to apply for a tourist visa and see what the results are before you apply for PR. Without attempting a TRV application, your conjugal application will be a great deal harder to prove.

Hi @Jieanne . I have applied for conjugal sponsorship too and we are from the philippines. We have been together for 5 years. We tried for TRV first and was denied. It is a very good proof of immigration barrier because atleast she tried any means to come here. We sent our application last May 16 2018 . Got our AOR June 21 . Sponsorship approval June 27 . Medical request June 27 . Medical done July 3 . Medical passed July 5 . File transfer to manila July 5 . Now we are waiting for background check.

If you have questions. You can message me :) it will be nice to have someone to talk to in regards of the application.
