I am applying for citizenship and filling out the online form, for the question i have, i will provide my timeline first:-
My PR timeline
Applied for PR sometime in February 2023
Post Graduation Work expiry date September 22, 2023
Applied for Bridging work Permit on September 11, 2023 ( so that I don’t go out of status)
Became PR on October 28, 2023
Withdrawal of Bridging work Permit Application November 8, 2023
In the ‘Physical Presence’ section it has a question:
During your 5-year eligibility period, did you have a valid temporary resident status before becoming a permanent resident? (Answer is 'YES' since i had PGWP form September 22, 2020 to September 22, 2023)
It also ask for ‘Did you apply to extend your status?’ I don’t know if I can answer ‘YES’ or ‘NO’, (i think 'yes' since i applied for BOWP)
If I answer ‘YES’ it asks further questions ‘Was the extension approved?’ (no it was not approved since i withdrew the BOWP application since i got my PR, there is no option of withdrawal, only 'YES' and 'NO'
I am confused as to, (i have also written what i think the answer might be):-
1.Did you apply to extend your status? (what i think: YES)
2.Was the extension approved?’ (what i think: NO)
3.Date you applied to extend your status (what i think: i enter the date i applied for BOWP)
4. Was the extension approved? (what i think: NO)
5.Date of decision for the refused extension (what i think: i enter date i withdrew BOWP application)
Please let me know what is the best way to answer these question.
