Hey all. Quick question about the Sponsor Eligibility Assessment portion of IMM1344. It states " If you answer "No" to any questions from 1 to 4, you are not eligible to be a sponsor. You should NOT submit your application. Questions 1 to 3 is fine, yes, yes, yes. Question 4. No. Do you reside in Canada and in no other country? If you answered "NO" but are a Canadian citizen living exclusively outside Canada, you may still be eligible. Been living abroad almost a decade. Dizzy.... I'm sure it's fine just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks for your time.

Yes you can sponsor! But you have to show your intentions of relocating to Canada once the PR is approved. I know this is kinda hard to do, but you can at least show apartment/house searches and job searches for when you'll be moving back. Have family and friends write letters that they are aware of your intention to come back to Canada after the process, things like that. If CIC is not satisfied that you have plans to move back to Canada, it might be a problem.

Are you a Canadian Citizen, or a PR of Canada?

Thanks for your answers. Yes, I'm a Canadian citizen. Having friends and family write letters to support my proof of returning is a good idea. I will do that. :)

Hi i am in the same situation here, and i am wondering if you got your approval with no issue, after you answered "NO" to the Question 4. No. Do you reside in Canada and in no other country? in IMM1344..?
