Hi,

Myself and my Husband are flying down to Canada next month. My Husband has received his Work Permit and i have received my Visitor Visa for 2 years.
Since i am currently in India, i had applied for an Open Work Permit on cic.gc.ca. My application has got approved, and they have asked me to submit my Passport to issue the Visa Stamp. But in their request letter, they have mentioned KINDLY SUBMIT YOUR PASSPORT TOWARDS YOUR APPLICATION OF TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA.
I am not sure what to do, since i already have a visitor visa, and had applied for Open Work Permit, but receiving a TRV.
Can someone please help out.
Much appreciated !!!

Regards,
Pooja

Permits dont go on passports, on passport you always get a trv which allows you to travel to Canada. At the airport you will be issued your permit by immigration.

@bongoman. Thanks for your reply. I already have a Visitor Visa of 2 years, so do i require to get this TRV too? Since i had applied for OWP, but this has led me to TRV.
So is TRV a pre requisite for getting OWP at airport?

TRV is prerequisite to travel to Canada, you cant board a plane without it. I believe the TRV is the same as for visitor but just submit the passport thats probably the easiest thing to do unless you can contact them.
