Hello fellow members,

Here is my situation:

Early April I received two additional document requests.

The first one, due in 15 days, was simple. It was related to my police certificate.

The second one, more concerning, was a Procedural Fairness Letter request. It stated that they were not convinced I was in a common law relationship at the time I applied. They gave me 30 days to provide more documentation.

Fast forward to late April, I sent my police certificate already, but have not yet sent my procedural fairness letter, due soon.

But today I got the golden email: "Ready for visa". They are asking me to send my passport to the CPC in Ottawa.

Could anybody enlighten me? Is my golden email an error? Should I still send the procedural fairness letter? Should I just contact IRCC?

You should absolutely send the response to the procedural fairness letter.

Thanks for the reply. I have it almost ready, I was planning to send it this week.
What about the passport, should I send it as well?
It's very surprising. I did not know you could get a "Ready for visa" while documents are pending.
Is this supposed to speed up processing? What if they are not convinced about my letter?
