Hello, I had been to Australia on a student visa In 1999 and returned in 2002. During my stay I had converted my student visa In to refugee visa as I could not clear my subjects . However by 2002 I was able to complete part ofmy education and returned by informing them I came back legally as I took bringing visa too.i even don't know if I was deported as no one asked me any question . Now I am planning to move to Canada through express entry. Does my Australia status effect my Canada Process? As I have to mention my travel details and disclose my studies as part time. If I have to disclose, what do I disclose as? I Could any one help me please

You should state that you filed for refugee status in Australia and provide the details you have given here. If you simply left without doing anything about the refugee claim, this may mean they refused you in absentia which would mean you technically have a refusal on your record. If possible, find out what happened to your refugee claim in Australia and the final status of that application (i.e. refused or withdrawn).

If you withdrew it means it was not rejected. I am curious how did you claim refugee visa from student visa ?

Just mention everything clearly and you can attach a letter explaining every detail.

Good luck
