Hi ESZB,

Thank you for the clarification.

I have already sent my application under NOC category, without the job offer, but don't think I will have much luck as I am more than 2 months behind other candidates.

For that reason, I was thinking if it's a good idea to call some employers in Canada saying that I am happy to arrange the paperwork on my side including the removal and flight cost. I could then update my application with CIC.

But the question here is - can the application be updated and if not how long will it take for CIC to send my papers back.

Probably you guys have already came up with this sort of idea before and it's not that simple but it's worth asking anyway :)
Cheers,
Michal

Dear Michal

I say you are very much safe because so far the trend shows that NOC 2113 is not a popular category and probably will take lot of time to fill up. But that safety is subject to submission of a complete application to CIC.

This being said, its not a bad idea to call up a few employers in Canada and get some feedback about your chances for a job offer. From what I have read ... Canadian employers are very keen about "Canadian experience" so be prepared to hear that and they need a Labour Market Opinion (LMO) before they can issue you an offer.
Still do give it a try u got nothing to lose here. If no job offer you will atleast have an idea before hand what are the prerequisites for making into the job market there. And if you are lucky and get a job offer you may file a new application under the "Arranged employment" category. Your current application without job offer cannot be changed. But I am positive that if you manage to pull off an offer you may probably get to PR faster.

You will have to wait for atleast 2 months after your application is received at CIO before you hear something from them. I hope and pray that you get a PER.

Best of luck. :)

Oh and i would request you to share your application details in the FSW 2013 Applicants timeline as I already described.

ESZB,

I am happy to send the info regarding my application but apparently I can't send private messages under my member status in this forum. Should I post the info elsewhere?

Post the details in the main thread. A lot of people are turning in there with their details. You will know when you check out the few latest pages.

To be completely honest, I am a bit cautious about filling up all my details at this point. Please fill the following details:

Application sent in the first week of July, category: Geoscientists. Once I know the outcome i will be happy to publicly publish more.

By the way, do you guys know how soon usuallly the CIC takes money from the credit card. It is two weeks since they should receive my application but no money has been taken from my account...

Hello trewaz,

If not all details I would request you to atleast share your NOC, the date on which your application was sent and date when received at CIO. The rest you can share when you get an outcome.
At present the average time is 60 days (about 8 weeks), between application receipt and CC charge. So be patient. Do not expect your CC to be charged before first week of September.

Hi Guys,

Hope you are fine and already got your possitive assessments.

Anyone knows what is the current processing time? In theory, it has been far more 2 months already so my application should already be processed. Almost 11 weeks has gone by and no news so far... my account also has not been charged and nothing came by post...

Should I call them or just keep on waiting biting my nails off ?:)

instead of starting different thread, if u would have followed timeline forum and spreadsheet then u would have been in a better position to understand that CIC is currently working on 1st week of July.
I have still added u in spreadsheet at row 166. Provide missing information to update ur details.

2. If yes, can I do medicals before receiving the confirmation as now have I have some time and later will be busy in the next few weeks ? (I already have my police checks)

Thanks Vats, I will wait then. But what about the options I can expect now. Am I accepted and only medical and police certificate condition need to be fulfilled ? Or I may also be interviewed ?

How long did you guys waited from your card being charged to actual receiving the PR which will allow you to fly. This is quite important question for me as I wasn't expected that my application will have no errors as it was filled in such a rush...

Will be grateful for the advice. Cheers.

Correction:
23 Education (MSc)
12 Age (34)
24 English/French language ability (IELTS: reading and listening: 8.5 (6+6) , writing: 7 (6), speaking 7.5 (6), french none)
13 Work experience (about 4.5 years)
0 Arranged employment
0 Adaptability (Spouse IELTS can earn you points)
72 total points

Could someone help me understand this criteria. Does this mean that I can not get 23 points for education because my Master is in finance and not in the listed professions? How many education points I can get in that case - only 21 because I don't have two degrees to get 22?

"University degree at the Master’s level or equal OR

23pts
but why you are taking tension if your total is 72 and reqd is 67 no point of worry
