Confused with NOC. Please help!

Hello Guys,

While creating my express entry profile, I am confused what to put my NOC code. I am working as an Application packaging analyst for approx 5 years. Could anyone please advise me what NOC should I use?
Any of you guys who have a similar kind of role in your company, what NOC you have selected?
NOC 2171 matches 50% of my roles and responsibilities, however, I have heard that we need to select exact NOC codes otherwise our application would be rejected.
Please advise? TIA.

Hi,

According to my knowledge,your roles & responsibilities should definitely confirm the actions described in lead statement of noc code. It should also show that you have done majority of duties listed in noc.

Its not that your roles and responsibilities should match exactly the same as laid out on the respective NOC page, but yes atleast 75-80% of the roles and responsibilities you performed should be aligned with the selected NOC. Your designation is of least importance. Good luck.
