Confused by wording I am seeing around! Spousal sponsorship

So i just submitted my PR application through inland common-law partner sponsorship. I am now seeing in many places that there is 2 applications, one for my PR and one for my partner to sponsor. Although it seemed all of these things were in my one application that he had to help to fill. Were both applications just merged into one? Or are we missing something completely, i cant find a different link for him to apply to sponsor and it seems that he would just be repeating forms. We also already paid the fees to sponsor, application fee, and right to permanent residence.

Please advise, I am stressing

It has always been 2 applications in one submission. Used to be paper applications: completing the forms, enclosing the supporting document, fee receipts, etc. in one envelope and mail/courier to IRCC.
