Confused About Police Clearance Process – Need Guidance!

Hi everyone!
I’m in Canada, i just graduated and my new employer has asked for a Police Clearance Certificate. I’ve applied for it through the Tamil Nadu Citizen Portal (police verification service).

Just wondering — does it have to be done only through Passport Seva and BLS International, or will the local district police verification from Tamil Nadu be accepted by Canadian employers?

This is my first job here, so any guidance or tips would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

The province/state police often only have the records limited to that state/province. This usually is a bigger issue that most face during Express entry application after ITA where sometimes these PCCs lead to rejection. But in your case, this is just your employer and not a govt body - at worst you'll be asked to do it again through PSK+BLS. Easier if you ask your HR, my guess would be that she'll be equally clueless - so anything should work for them.
