Hi guys,

I am Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager in a construction company for the last 3 years, my qualification is Industrial Engineer, my total years of experience are 8 years.

When I discovered the NOC, I have found there are three different NOCs suit my qualification and experience:

1- 0211 Engineering manager
2- 2142 Industrial and manufacturing engineer
3- 1122 Professional occupations in business management consulting

Which one is suitable for me without getting rejection or ban, also if for example, I select Engineering Manager will I choose 3 years of experience or total 8 years of experience, I am really confused.

I appreciate your help.

Can't really answer your question since I don't work in your profession.
Which one is the most suitable depends not on the job title but the actual job descriptions and responsibilities. You need to compare the details listed under each NOC with what you are doing and make a choice. In the reference letter your employer will need to write in detail your responsibilities so you need to make sure they match with what is listed under the chosen NOC.

Alright, what about the calculation of years experience? will I use total experience or the selected job experience?

You select the NOC based on the job duties and responsibilities (as well as the lead statement / context). You've only mentioned one position covering 3 of the past 8 years, you would select the appropriate NOC for each position. There is no requirement that they all be the same.

You do not have to enter all work experience in the EE profile, only the positions for which you are claiming points (and for which you will be able to provide documents).

You enter the total number of years of work experience for all the skilled work you claim in your profile.

Note that if you are talking about foreign work experience, you reach the maximum number of points with "3 or more years of work experience." So some people choose not to include work experience beyond 3 years.

Thank you for your replies,

I have focused on the published duties description for each NOC, and I have found that the most suitable one to my experience is 1122 Professional occupations in business management consulting.

The only problem is my education is Industrial and Manufacturing Engineer, and the exact employment requirement is:

Employment requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or a related discipline is usually required.
  • A graduate degree in business administration may be required.

Will my education fulfill the requirement or not as this is the only discrepancy if true?

No problem at all. Read carefully, employment requirement is "A bachelors degree OR......." which you have in the form of Engineering.
