Hi everyone,
I’m currently creating my Express Entry profile on the IRCC website (CléGC in French), and I’m a bit confused about how to declare my work experience.
Here’s my background:
June 2021 – Feb 2022: Sales associate (Urban Jungle)
Mar 2022 – Aug 2022: Sales associate (Decathlon)
Jan 2023 – Present: Internal auditor at SEAAL (qualified position under NOC 11100)
I completed my studies in 2019, and since then, these are my main jobs.
From what I’ve read on IRCC’s website and forums, I understand that:
In the Work History section of the profile (before getting an ITA), I should only include jobs that are skilled (NOC 0, 1, 2, or 3) and for which I want to claim CRS points.
My sales jobs (NOC D) should not be added to the Work History because they don’t count for CRS points.
However, after receiving an ITA, in the Personal History section, I must declare all activities and jobs (including my sales jobs) for the last 10 years or since turning 18.
Some people told me that I should list all jobs, even non-skilled ones, directly in the Work History to avoid issues. Others say this is wrong and could complicate my application.
Can anyone who has gone through this process confirm what’s correct?
Should I:
- Only put my current qualified auditor job in Work History
- Put all jobs (including sales) later in Personal History after the ITA
I want to be 100% transparent and avoid any misrepresentation. Any official IRCC references or personal experiences would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
